PARENT AND FAMILY EDUCATION

A principle focus of EIDBI services is parent and family education. During parent/family education, parents and caregivers are educated not only about their child’s diagnoses, but about their child’s ITP, the purpose of the programing that is being implemented, and strategies that can be used to generalize what the child is learning in-home and in-center to other aspects of the child’s life in order to decrease overall stress and improve outcomes. As EIDBI providers, we want you as the child’s caregiver to get as much out of this program as your child does, so that the entire family can grow and develop together.
