IN-HOME SERVICES

All individuals who qualify for EIDBI services qualify for in-home based DIRFloortime services. During in-home services, a Behavioral Technician works with the client in the place where they spend the majority of their time, their home. These services can also be provided at relative’s homes, certain daycare centers, in the community, at grocery stores, or many other places where you and your child would like to spend your time.

Floortime can be used in-home to improve morning/evening routines, work on daily hygiene skills, potty training, completion of tasks/chores, and to increase positive interactions with siblings and other family members. Floortime can also be used in-home to decrease tantrums, property destruction, and other destructive or concerning behaviors.

Floortime can be used in the community to increase the family’s access to outside resources, including the ability to go to the grocery store, park, doctor’s appointments, relatives homes, and extra curriculars by reducing disruptive behavior and increasing the use of coping strategies to make the individual more comfortable and confident in the community.

In-home and community-based services are available in 2.5-4 hour sessions between 8am and 8pm M-F. Sessions may also be available on the weekends, depending on staff availability. The number of provider hours each individual child qualifies for will depend on age, diagnoses, and the findings of the CMDE, but can range from 15 to 40 hours per week. An adult (parent, guardian, relative, babysitter, etc.) must be present for in-home services.
